She will show you how to build your flower in layers, how to choose just the right values in your fabric, and how to make your flower look real. she covers how to find the right background color and talks about finishing your quilt with thread play.

There is a kit fee for this class is not only speeds up the class but you are guaranteed to have an award-winning quilt when your class is done.

Kit Fee: $85, The kit comes with a full-color pattern booklet, a large layout guide, all pattern pieces traced for you, and 20 batik fabrics cut to the pattern pieces size, in a choice of 3 colors.

Supply List

• 1 yd background fabric in a dark color or any color you like.

• 6 yds. Steam-A-Seam 2

• Tweezers or stiletto to help you move small pieces around

• Glue Stick

• Large straight pins

• Large sharp scissors for paper and fabric

• Rotary cutter, rulers, and mat

• Sharpie markers, fine tip and bold, in black.

• Small post-it notes

• Plastic baggie to keep your pattern pieces in

• Iron and ironing board (optional)

• The Teflon pressing sheet I like Fat Goddess by Misty Fuse Size 21" x 27" or parchment paper to cover 28 ”x 28” 

 

 

To finish your quilt at home:

• Sulky 30 or 40 weight rayon thread in colors that match your flower

• Jeans Denim needles or Top Stitch needles, in size 12/80 - 14/90

• 1 yd batting cotton batting (Quilters Dream Cotton) in the low loft

• 1 yd backing fabric

• 3 1/2yds finish binding
