Social Climber Roses
32" x 48"
2005

I was inspired by the roses in my garden. I saw these beautiful pink climbing roses in a catalog and wanted them for my garden. My husband was convinced that we already have too many roses. So I quilted this one and now I can have Social Climber Roses all year long.

I am passionate about color. If you could eat, drink and smell color I would devour it. The flower and plants in the garden are my color closets. I just go out side and enjoy the intensity of natural color. The second color closets would be the fabric store.

I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck
