Fee Info
Workshop/Lecture Fees
for 2010 –2011
Due to the price of
everything going up my prices for 2010 –2011 have gone up to keep pace with
the economy, which sucks.
Lectures:
-
“Discover the Artist
Within” – PowerPoint - 1 hour - $475
-
“Discover the Artist
Within through Quilts and Wearable Arts”, LIVE Trunk Show/ Fashion
Show - 1 hour - $450 + shipping of quilts and garments.
I love to do a fashion show/trunk show, it is a quality show, but travelling with the garments and
quilts incur an extra cost. I can adapt it to fit your guild's needs but you
need to work that out with me before the contracts are signed. Only you
and your guild knows your budget, so take that into consideration when
choosing a lecture and price. I do give you my best.
If
you choose the Fashion Show I will need 4 models size 8,10 or 12. They need to
be at least 5’4” tall as some of my garments are long. Please let the models know
that some of the garments are complete outfits so they will wear the proper
undergarments.
This is a fun and easygoing fashion show so any age of models is welcome and enjoyed.
If you have trouble finding enough models I will help you pull from
the audience on lecture night.
One quilt rack
for display is to be provided by the event or guild.

Fees
There is a pattern and kit
fee of $15 per student to be paid in class to the instructor. These
cover cost of materials, labor and employee fees to cut and prepare
kits for the classes. A "head count" of attendees is necessary in advance to
insure shipping adequate numbers of kits for the workshop. If kit fees are
collected from students at time of registration, they will be paid to the
instructor on the day of the class.
Room
requirements:
Please register students with consideration for sufficient
classroom space!
It is important that the students have enough space to lay out there work. 2
students sharing a 6’ - 8’ table is great.
There needs to be an iron
and ironing board for every 6 students. (Irons
blow fuses. Please make sure someone knows where the electrical breakers
are. We can't work without irons.)
Individual irons on each
tables are OK but take up a lot of space so please take that into
consideration when planning for your workshops. Large trash cans or large
trash bags are needed at each table. There are a lot of fabric and paper
scraps generated by Fusible Flowers.
1-2
large tables for my class
supplies and products. The products I bring to sell pertain to the workshop.
Full payment needs to be made at the end
of the workshop.
Lodging and travel:
Travel,
lodging and meals will be provided by the guild or organization. I will make
those arrangements after contacting group for details and will find the most
affordable fare available at that time.
I request a
non-smoking private hotel room for lodging. If no suitable hotel lodging is
available, please provide a private room and bath in the home of a qualified,
reliable member. I am very allergic to cats. So no cats, please.
Retreats:
This is a in-depth workshop
that allows the student to use there own photo and translate it into an art
quilt. I have designed a limited addition pattern design exclusively for
retreats.
For retreat pricing please
contact me.
I look forward to being with
you group. If you have any question or concerns please email me. If you have
other shops or guilds you would like to work with let me know. I am here to
help.
