There is a $15 pattern fee for the class that includes pattern, all hand outs, and 1/2 yard Steam-A-Seam 2, 18" wide.

Sewing machine is not needed in class.

 

Supply List

 

· 3/4 yd background fabric, in a dark color

· Tweezers or stiletto to help you move small pieces around

· Straight pins

·  Sharp scissors for paper and fabric

·  Rotary cutter, rulers and mat to square up background fabrics

· Sharpie markers (fine tip and bold, in black)

· Pencil with eraser

· Small post-it notes

·    *4yds Steam-A-Seam 2, 18” wide, or  whatever width you can find

· Parchment paper or you can use the release paper found

on the top side of the Steam-A-Seam 2.  Feel good, you are recycling.

· Plastic baggie to keep your pattern pieces in

· Iron and ironing board

· Teflon pressing sheet

· Foam core board , size 19” x 24” to use as a design board  (optional)

 

To Finish Your Quilt

 

· Sulky 30  weight rayon thread in colors that match your flower– If you can’t find the 30 weight, use 40 weight.

·  Jeans Denim needles or Top Stitch needles, in size 12/80 - 14/90

· 1  yd batting, Quilters Dream Cotton  in the lowest loft which is called Request

· 1 yd backing fabric

· 3 1/2 yds of finished binding

 

 

* If you have trouble finding Steam-A-Seam 2,  you can order  6 yards from my

web site @ www.melindabula.com  under Shop.  It can also be found at most quilt and fabric stores.  It comes in many widths and in packages.  I like the 18” wide

because It fits on a fat quarter but any size will do.
