Supply List
Fabulous Fusible Flower
Sunflower
There is a $12.00 pattern fee for each student in class.
This includes the pattern, color chart and copies of most pattern shapes
so a minimum tracing will take place in class. (Pattern retails for $15.00)

Bring to class:

1/2 yard of a background fabric in a color you would like to see your yellow sunflower on. The simplest background fabrics are dark blue, black, brown or dark green. If you are not sure what color will work best, bring more than 1 choice.

Flower does not have to be yellow!
Bring a minimum (5 to10) 1/4 yds of yellow ranging in dark to light for your sunflower petals. You will need a dark gold for around the center of the flower, medium yellow, bright yellow, light medium yellow and a light yellow. The more colors you bring to class the better.
If you are not sure about what you have bring it all and I will help you.
If not sure about what is a light, medium or dark, bring what you have and I will help you in class. We will be making your own personal color chart with your fabrics in class.

You will need 1 dark fabric for the center of your flower. Brown, black, dark green or I used a dark purple.  This can be small scraps. 4"x 4"

1/4 yard of 3 greens for the leaves on the sunflower that range from dark to light.

3 yards of Steam-A-Seam 2,   18” wide. If all you can find is in packages, bring at least 3 packs. I will bring some to class if you can’t find it or you run out. Make sure it’s NOT the LITE. There is a reason why I use the Steam- A- Seam 2, so please don't bring any other fusible web.

3/4 yd for outer border fabric. This will be a fabric frame around your flower. See photo. It is optional.

You will need an iron and ironing pad. Some guilds/shops provide irons and boards which is great so you have more room at your table.

Scissors. They need to be sharp and comfortable.  Large for cutting out the fabric and paper scissors for paper.

18”x 24” foam core board - this makes a handy portable design board for class. It also helps in transporting your flower home. You can get this at an office supply or craft store.

Pencil, marking pen (Sharpie) tracing paper, rotary cutter, cutting matt, ruler, Teflon pressing sheet (optional) and straight pins also are helpful.
