Fabulous Fusible Flower
Sunflower
There is a 12.00 kit fee for the class. This includes a pattern.

Bring to class:

1/2 yard of a background fabric in a color you would like to see your yellow sunflower on. the simplest background fabrics are, dark blue, black, brown, or dark green. If you are not sure what color will work best, bring more than 1 choice.

 (5) 1/4 yd of yellow ranging in dark to light for your sunflower petals. You will need a dark gold for around the center of the flower, medium yellow, bright yellow, light medium yellow and a light yellow.
If you are not sure about what you have bring it all and I will help you.
If not sure bring about what is a light medium or dark, Bring what you have and I will help you in class. We will be making our own personal color chart with your fabrics in class. 
 
You will need 1 dark fabric for the center of your flower. Brown. black, dark green or I used a dark purple.  This can be small scraps. 4"x 4"
 
1/4 yards of 3 greens for the leaves on the sunflower that range from dark to light.
 
3 yards of Steam-A-Seam 2   18” wide. If all you can fine is in packages, bring at least 3 packs. I will bring some to class if you can’t find it or you run out. Make sure it’s not the light.
 
 
      3/4 yd for outer border fabric see the picture. This will be a fabric frame around your flower. See photo.
 
You will need an iron and ironing pad. Some guilds/shops provide irons and board which is great so you have more room at your table.
 
Scissors. They need to be sharp and comfortable.  Large for cutting out the fabric and paper scissors for paper.
 
Foam core board is nice to have to pin you work on in class.  you can use it  like a design board and to help in transporting of your flower home. You can get this at and office supply store or craft store.
18”x 24”is a good size.
 
Pencil, marking pen (Sharpie) tracing paper, rotary cutter, cutting matt, ruler Teflon pressing sheet (optional) and straight pins also are helpful.
