A Garden’s Delight

2005
44" x 57"

As a child I would watch my mother make beautiful flower arrangements. Many times I would paint or draw theses bouquets before they went off to her client's homes. Hunting for just the right color of fabric is like finding the right flower. It's part of the process of making my quilts.  There is no paint, just pieces of beautiful fabrics and threads cut and arranged like a bouquet.

I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers.  ~Claude Monet
